I had to share this article because the topic resonates with me as a math student. I remember my mom saying that she wanted me to be really good at math. She sent me to many math tutors. As the article expressed, the math tutoring were not about practicing and making-up work, it was about providing the enrichment that students need to expand their knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts. Enrichment tutoring provides opportunities for students shift from merely doing mathematics to focus on their thinking and problem solving with support for productive struggle. Love it.
